One motion cabin. Four distinct ways to shape the experience. Whether open, enclosed, rotating, or suspended, each FUNRIDE™ simulator ride brings motion and media together in its own way.

FUNRIDE™ is our configurable family of cabin-based motion ride systems for media-based attractions. Each concept shares the same Simtec engineering foundation: controlled motion and frame-accurate synchronization. What changes is how the experience is shaped around the cabin: FUNRIDE™ OCS opens the cabin to large-format external media, FUNRIDE™ CCS brings the show inside, FUNRIDE™ 360 turns the guest platform toward changing scenes, and FUNRIDE™ Hover uses an inverted motion architecture for its distinctive motion character. Each concept is a starting architecture, not a fixed attraction. Capacity, cabin layout, motion character and media environment can be adapted to the venue and creative direction, creating a coherent, project-specific attraction.

Simtec develops the motion technology, control architecture and interfaces that synchronize movement with media, audio, special effects and show control. The modular FUNRIDE™ platform can be combined with cabin-integrated media or shared large-format environments, depending on the attraction concept.
Drawing on more than 35 years of motion simulation experience, Simtec can evaluate preliminary media and motion profiles together before the final show program is completed. This allows pacing, motion cues, transitions and physical response to be aligned while adjustments can still be made.
Simtec can deliver FUNRIDE™ projects as integrated systems or complete turnkey simulator attractions. We develop and integrate the motion system, controls, show control and special effects, coordinate selected partners for AV technology and film production, and provide installation, commissioning and operator and maintenance training.
Installation, commissioning, operator and maintenance training, and project-specific lifecycle services can also form part of the delivery scope. Technical support, spare parts, maintenance concepts, upgrades and later system modifications help support reliable and maintainable operation throughout the attraction’s defined lifecycle. Simtec teams in Germany, the USA and China support international projects across these phases.
