Dornier D228 Pilot Training – Safety for Professionals

In its training center Simtec offers pilot training on a dry lease basis on its Dornier D228 flight simulator. Based on more than 30 years of ATO experience, a team of flight instructors and examiners (CRI and CRE) is also available for customer-specific training in the NON-EASA area.

According to your own requirements and/or regulations of your local CAA we can offer training as follows:

• D228 type rating training with ground course, simulator training, simulator check flight

• D228 proficiency training and checks

• refresher D228: type rating, CRI and IR

• D228 class rating instructor course (CRI)

• upgrade to PIC D228

The Dornier D228 Full-Flight-Simulator was developed and manufactured by Simtec. The simulator is qualified as FSTD according to regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011 (No. DE-1A-025).

In order to meet the high requirements of our customers the simulator is equipped with a Raster NX2 day/dusk/night visual with two collimated EDL 20″ displays, a six degrees of freedom hydraulic motion platform, Simtec’s Digital Control Load System (DCLS) and a Sampled Aircraft Sound System (SASS).

Simtec’s Dornier D228 Simulator is the only qualified full-flight-simulator (FFS) of this aircraft type in the world.
