HEXaFLITE® Flying Theater Systems: Engineered and Manufactured by Simtec

6-DOF Motion Platforms and Immersive Media Environments

Simtec is a flying theater manufacturer that develops, delivers and integrates the HEXaFLITE® family of high-performance 6-DOF flying theater systems. Each configuration is engineered around the intended flight experience, venue and capacity.

The 6-DOF motion platform is synchronized with the complete immersive media environment. The dome screen can use projection or LED technology, while movie content, audio, special effects and show control are coordinated as one integrated show sequence with frame-accurate timing throughout the attraction.

Simtec’s roots in professional flight simulation inform the motion cueing, control precision and motion-to-media synchronization behind the attraction. The objective is not movement for its own sake, but physical motion that remains convincingly connected to the visual experience.

Turnkey Flying Theater Delivery and Lifecycle Support

Simtec can also deliver HEXaFLITE® as a complete turnkey flying theater attraction. We integrate the motion system, show control and special effects, and coordinate selected partners for the dome screen, AV technology and film production.

This can include a projection or LED dome, immersive audio, media servers, installation, commissioning, and operator and maintenance training. At Simtec’s in-house engineering and system integration facilities in Braunschweig, Germany, the systems are assembled, integrated and validated before site delivery.
