Simtec brings ride engineering into the conversation early, helping you explore possibilities and develop a technically viable direction while the concept is still open. An attraction concept may start with a movement, a spatial idea or simply a vision of what guests should experience — not with a predefined ride system.
This is where we join the conversation.
We help explore what the idea may require technically, what could influence movement, space or operation, and which technical approaches are worth considering. Our perspective is grounded in our experience with the engineering, integration, testing and support of motion-based attractions. This helps us look at an idea not only creatively, but also in terms of how it could fit the space, move guests and work in daily operation.
The goal is not to limit creative thinking too early. It is to add the engineering perspective while there is still room to refine the concept. When creative intent and engineering possibility meet, magic is created.
We speak “audacious” and work with “never-been-done-before.” The creative vision remains yours.

Early technical insight can keep options open, reveal opportunities and help avoid decisions that unnecessarily limit the attraction later.
We assess whether the intended movement, spatial concept or attraction idea can be realized technically — and identify the key questions or constraints that need to be addressed next.
We explore how guests should move, change orientation and transition through the experience — and what kind of motion approach could support that intent without forcing the concept into a predefined ride format.
We consider how movement, building geometry, scenery and the space required for the ride system influence one another while layouts are still flexible.
We consider how many guests the attraction needs to accommodate, how they board and leave the ride, accessibility requirements and how the overall ride cycle may influence the technical concept. This helps identify implications for throughput, operation and system complexity early.
We look at where motion needs to work together with media, scenery, sound, special effects and show timing — so these relationships can be considered before key creative and technical decisions are fixed.
The concept may fit a proven Simtec ride platform, require a project-specific ride architecture or lead to a technical challenge that needs Custom Engineering. We help identify which direction best fits the experience and its requirements.
