FUNRIDE™ CCS is our closed cabin simulator for immersive media-based attractions, built on a configurable FUNRIDE™ motion ride platform. By controlling what guests see, hear and feel, the system creates a focused show environment where motion, media, audio, and special effects become part of a unified attraction experience.
The enclosed cabin allows stories, worlds, and environments to unfold without outside distractions, while configurable motion systems and show technologies provide the flexibility to support a wide range of attraction concepts.
Engineered with real simulation DNA, FUNRIDE™ CCS uses frame-accurate synchronization, refined motion cueing, and controlled dynamics to turn media into a ride guests truly feel.
The enclosed cabin creates a controlled visual and acoustic show environment, reducing external distractions and sound leakage into adjacent areas. Light, media, effects, and thematic design elements can be carefully orchestrated as one immersive attraction experience.
Different attraction concepts require different solutions. Cabin layouts, motion technologies, media systems, and theming options can be adapted to project-specific requirements.
4D elements such as wind, scent, water mist, and vibration are built into each seat and synchronized with motion and media — creating a consistent, powerful sensory impact for every passenger.
This browser does not support the video element.
Not every attraction is designed around scale, shared perspectives, or open sightlines. Some experiences are created for maximum immersion — where guests are drawn completely into a story, environment, or virtual world. FUNRIDE™ CCS was developed for this reality. Unlike the FUNRIDE™ OCS open cabin system, the FUNRIDE™ CCS concentrates the visual, acoustic, and physical show environment inside an enclosed cabin. Instead of competing with external influences, motion, media, audio, and special effects can be carefully synchronized to support the story being told and create a focused sense of immersion. Without external visual references competing for attention, motion can be perceived more naturally and integrated more closely into the experience.
For this experience to feel convincing, synchronization alone is not enough. Drawing on decades of expertise in certified flight simulation and attraction engineering, Simtec applies refined motion cueing and Motion Texture techniques to create believable movement, smooth transitions, and carefully balanced intensity. Combined with precise real-time synchronization across all show systems, this transforms media into an experience guests can physically feel.
Every attraction project comes with its own creative ambitions, operational requirements, and spatial constraints. Rather than forcing these requirements into a predefined layout, Simtec adapts the FUNRIDE™ CCS platform to the specific goals of each project.
Depending on the attraction concept, the system can be configured with different motion technologies, passenger capacities, seating or standing arrangements, media systems, and special effect packages. Interior design, lighting, finishes, and branding can be tailored to help transform the cabin into part of the attraction experience, supporting the intended story, theme or IP.
From early project stages, Simtec aligns building conditions, media integration, show systems, safety interfaces, and maintenance access to create one technically coherent attraction system designed for reliable long-term operation. For clients seeking a fully integrated delivery model, FUNRIDE™ CCS can also be supplied as a complete turnkey attraction. Simtec leads the system integration and takes the project through installation, commissioning, and operator and maintenance training. AV technology and film production are provided by selected partners under Simtec’s coordination.
