Who says a flying theater needs a giant building? HEXaFLITE® mini combines full 6-DOF flight dynamics with a compact footprint — engineered for venues with limited floor space or ceiling height.

HEXaFLITE® mini is the compact powerhouse of the HEXaFLITE® family. It packs electric or hydraulic 6-DOF motion, immersive media, and multisensory effects into a shared flying theater experience. Whether the story calls for a family-friendly adventure or an adrenaline-charged flight, the mini delivers fast accelerations, dynamic rotations, and smooth, controlled transitions — combining real thrills with guest comfort.
Designed for venues with limited ceiling heights and floor space, HEXaFLITE® mini opens the flying theater format to entirely new locations. It may be the smallest member of the family, but once the flight begins, nothing about the experience feels small.
HEXaFLITE® mini brings a full flying theater experience to existing buildings, retrofit projects, and compact venues where a conventional large-scale installation would be difficult to realize.
Guests board at floor level before the platform rotates horizontally by 180° into the show position. The transition turns a space-efficient movement into the opening moment of the flight.
Don’t let the size fool you. HEXaFLITE® mini brings the same dynamic 6-DOF punch as the larger HEXaFLITE® systems — packed into the smallest member of the family.
One platform or several: multiple HEXaFLITE® mini units can operate side by side or in stacked configurations in front of one shared dome-shaped screen — allowing layout and capacity to be adapted to the venue.
Seat-integrated effects extend the synchronized motion and media experience, making climbs, dives and turns feel more immediate through wind, scent or water mist.

Many venues want a powerful flying theater experience without the capacity or building volume of a large-scale installation. HEXaFLITE® mini was engineered around that reality: a compact platform for up to 10 guests with its own compact motion structure, reduced footprint, and full 6-DOF dynamics.
The 180° horizontal rotation solves the next challenge: ceiling height. Instead of tilting a large passenger platform from a horizontal loading position into a vertical flight position, the mini turns on one level. Guests board at floor level, rotate toward the dome and arrive in the show position with their feet freely suspended.
The smaller platform reduces the overall system dimensions. The horizontal rotation reduces the required height. Together, they create a flying theater for locations where a conventional full-scale system would be architecturally or operationally impractical — without taking the punch out of the flight.
This compact core becomes the basis for a system configuration built around the available space, the required capacity, and the media environment. Where more throughput is needed, multiple units can be combined into one coordinated flying theater setup.
With HEXaFLITE® mini, the attraction follows the building — not the other way around. Each platform can be configured for 6, 8, or 10 guests and installed as a focused single-unit attraction or combined with additional platforms to increase capacity.
Wide spaces can accommodate units side by side. When floor space is scarce, capacity can move upward: stacked configurations place two platforms within one coordinated flying theater setup. Multiple platforms can share one dome-shaped screen, allowing capacity to grow without multiplying the complete AV infrastructure.
Simtec brings platform layout, guest flow, media technology, and building integration together as one coherent system. Projection or LED dome screen, electric or hydraulic motion, and optional VR create further possibilities for shaping the attraction around the intended experience and operational concept. Simtec can also deliver the complete attraction as a turnkey solution.
The result is not one fixed mini layout, but a configurable flying theater architecture built around the venue, the audience, and the required capacity.

Simtec Systems provides world-class attractions for any venue size as a premier flying theater manufacturer. The HEXaFLITE® mini brings the authentic sensation of flight to locations with limited space, offering the same 6-DOF motion fidelity as our large-scale systems. Developed using methodologies from certified flight simulation, the system delivers precise movements that perfectly synchronize with immersive dome theater or LED screens. By assuming lead engineering responsibility, Simtec ensures that every heave, surge, and roll creates a physically credible immersive experience, transforming compact footprints into world-class destinations for family entertainment centers, malls, and museums.
As a globally recognized theme park ride supplier, Simtec designs the HEXaFLITE® mini for long-term performance and high availability. The system is specifically optimized for low ceiling heights, utilizing a unique 180° horizontal rotation for its show reveal instead of a tall vertical lift. This flexibility allows for side-by-side or stacked multi-unit setups that significantly increase guest throughput while maintaining a small architectural footprint. With barrier-free access via floor-level boarding and compliance with international safety standards like EN 13814 and GB 8408, the mini is a safe and profitable investment for operators worldwide.
