Founded in 1989 in Braunschweig, Germany, Simtec is a German manufacturer specializing in advanced motion and simulation systems. We develop and integrate complete solutions for two very different worlds: immersive attractions and demanding test environments. What connects them is the same ambition — to engineer complex motion with precision, purpose and long-term operation in mind.
Our roots in professional flight simulation still shape the way we work today. We look beyond the motion platform and engineer movement as part of a complete system, bringing technology together around what it needs to achieve. In a ride, that means creating motion that supports the experience. In a test environment, it means delivering controlled, repeatable conditions. In every case, ambitious ideas, demanding requirements and the realities of daily operation have to work together.

In our Test Systems division, we deliver state-of-the-art 6-DOF motion platforms (HEXaDRIVE®) and environmental simulation for the automotive and aerospace industries. We are a specialized partner for EX-certified systems (ATEX/IECEx), providing safe testing solutions for hazardous environments involving fuel or volatile media.

The construction and realization of the ‘Manufaktur’ production and testing facility was co-funded by the European Union’s ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) to enlarge our operational capacities, specifically supported by the joint task program for the improvement of the regional economic structure (GRW). Simtec is proud to have achieved this significant milestone, which has empowered us to develop even more innovative ride and test systems since 2018.
