Super Wings Attraction – OCT Chongqing

Simtec takes off!
New FUNRIDE Family Member: FUNRIDE 21
Simtec Systems was selected as supplier for the main attraction of OCT Happy Valley’s newly developed Super Wings real-world theme area in Chongqing, China. With a total investment of 600 million yuan and a size of 40,000 square meters it will become the world’s first real-world theme area based on the top children’s animation IP “Super Wings”. The project is jointly produced by Chongqing Happy Valley and Alpha Entertainment.

The main attraction of the new Super Wings area will be the “Ledi Secret Mission” simulator ride, with an investment of 200 million yuan. Simtec will supply three FUNRIDE open cabin simulators with 21 seats each which will be placed in front of a 30-meter-wide screen. The scope of supply of Simtec Systems also includes the AV system of the theater.
The simulators are wonderfully themed and equipped as Super Wings aircrafts and are moved by powerful 6 DOF motion systems. So the guests will experience their very own Super Wings adventure together with their popular heroes.

“We are very proud of the fact that we have been selected as supplier by OCT Happy Valley, one of the most successful park operators in China, and that we were able to prevail against well-known competitors. This shows again that we have a big advantage with our expandable and adaptable concept concerning various designs and seat capacities within the FUNRIDE closed cabin and open cabin simulators”, Andreas Stickel, Director Business Development stated.

It is a huge advantage for our customers that we can provide project management and customer service from our service base in Wuhan, China. This combined with a product “Made in Germany” is hard to beat!”, Sinan Shangguan, Sales Manager China said.

The construction work of the new area is underway. The opening of the new Super Wings area is planned for 2021.
